Adult Acne - Did You Think it Would Just Go Away Like Everyone Said?

The problem with adult acne is that you're not supposed to have it, right? Acne is just supposed to be something that teenagers deal with when they go through puberty. Well unfortunately, that's not the case. And what's even worse is that more and more people are suffering from adult acne every single year. The reason? Well I could spiel off the same crap about bacteria, oil and dead skin that everyone else is so found of talking about and show you the same old pictures of a clogged pore forming into a pimple.

Or I could help you understand why you really have acne.

For instance, when teenagers go through puberty, their hormones are going crazy which obviously leads to imbalances in our body. These imbalances cause our oil glands to make to much oil as well as cause our skin to die off more rapidly than it should. This oil and dead skin are what get trapped in pores and leads to pimples. I'm sure you've heard all that already. Now the interesting question is why does everything we have to treat acne focus on clearing away this dead skin and oil instead of dealing the with route of the problem? I mean, sure, if the treatments actually worked and did what they were supposed to do, then we wouldn't be here right now, would we?

But obviously, the treatments don't work. But year after year, we're told the same old things. Pat your skin dry to avoid irritation. Wash your pillow cases often. Use detergent without any additives. Use benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid to clear pores. None of it works! And yet the same people keep telling us the same old information over and over again.

Why doesn't anyone ever say, "Hey maybe we should deal with the internal factors, such as hormonal imbalances inside of us?"

Honestly, I don't know. Medicine laughs at anyone that suggests treating acne internally. We all scoff when someone suggests there is a connection between diet and acne. "It's been proven there's no relation between the two" people say. And yet, the truth is that there is no proof. The only "proof" is a week long study where people were fed chocolate and soda. That's it. But since it's been repeated so often, we all just accept it as truth.

The real truth is that adult acne can be cured and that you can never get rid of your adult acne by using external treatments. You must take care of the real problems, such as hormonal imbalances as well as taking care of your cleansing organs, if you ever want to have clear skin again.
